The ILIMITED project officially launched its collaborative work with a successful kick-off meeting hosted by the project coordinator, the Kemijski inštitut – National Institute of Chemistry (NIC), in Slovenia on 21–22 January 2025.

This meeting gave the partners the opportunity to discuss in detail the project’s innovative core: developing a first-of-its-kind ionic liquid sorbent methanol synthesis. The collective goal is clear: to achieve a methanol yield exceeding 80% over the next three years.

Key technical discussions focused on the integration of highly selective encapsulation techniques and the design of 3D-printed reactors. A visit to the NIC laboratories provided valuable technical context and practical insight for the consortium as they move forward with their research.
