ILIMITED will join its sister projects PeCATHS and NOVETROL at the upcoming Technologies and Business Models for Circular Economy (TBMCE 2026) conference, taking place 9–11 September 2026 in Portorož, Slovenia. Together, the projects (HORIZON-CL5-2024-D2-01-04 call) will host a joint conference session titled “From Research to Application: Cross-Sector Energy Technologies for the Climate Transition” on 9 September, 17:00 – 18:30.
This joint session highlights how collaborative research can accelerate the transition from innovation to real-world deployment. By working closely with its sister projects, ILIMITED strengthens knowledge exchange, supports joint dissemination activities and contributes to a more coordinated European approach to clean energy innovation.
The session will showcase how cross-sector energy technologies can move beyond research and deliver tangible impact, supporting Europe’s transition towards a climate-neutral, resource-efficient and circular economy. It will also offer insights into how collaborative project frameworks can bridge the gap between research, industry uptake and policy goals.
TBMCE 2026 is organised by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Maribor, in cooperation with SRIP – Circular Economy, managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska. The conference brings together business leaders, researchers and innovators, technology developers, and policy and decision makers. The programme addresses the current challenges of technological development and the responsibility of society in its transition from fossils to renewables, from linear to circular.
Participants will exchange ideas, explore emerging trends and discuss technologies, business models and success stories already contributing to the circular economy and energy transition.
