NIC, as coordinator of the ILIMITED project, has taken initial steps towards closer collaboration with Horizon Europe sister projects under the Emerging Energy Technologies for a Climate Neutral Europe call, aiming to strengthen cross-project synergies in support of Europe’s climate transition.
In recent weeks, ILIMITED has held a series of initial coordination meetings with the following sister projects: GridForLoads, PECATHS, FASTER, CAIPIRINH3A, NOVETROL, STOREDGE and THERMINATOR.
The discussions focused on identifying shared priorities, exploring complementary expertise, and mapping opportunities for joint communication, dissemination, and participation in events.
ONE SHARED VISION, MANY TECHNOLOGICAL PATHWAYS
Although the projects address different scientific and technological challenges – ranging from advanced energy storage and clean fuels to grid stability, heat management and energy infrastructure – they share a common ambition: to enable resilient, efficient, and climate-neutral energy systems through integrated, cross-sectoral solutions.
Shared focus of sister projects includes:
- decarbonisation and climate neutrality,
- energy system integration and flexibility,
- bridging energy, industry, mobility, and digitalisation,
- translating research results into scalable societal impact.
FROM EARLY EXCHANGES TO JOINT ACTION
Through aligned communication and dissemination activities, ILIMITED and its sister projects aim to increase the visibility and impact of Horizon Europe‑funded research, foster collaboration across sectors and support the development of cross‑sectoral solutions for climate transition.
All projects are funded under Horizon Europe – Cluster 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility, contributing to the objectives of the European Green Deal.
The collaboration will continue to develop through joint visibility at events, shared dissemination actions, and ongoing knowledge exchange – ensuring that individual innovations translate into collective European impact.
