Prof Blaž Likozar from the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) presented the ILIMITED project research topic ‘Catalytic CO2 Hydrogenation Reactions to Methanol: Catalysis, Intensification and Modelling’, at the 29th International Symposium on Chemical Reaction Engineering (ISCRE29) in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Prof Likozar presented the latest work on catalytic CO₂ hydrogenation to methanol, focusing on overcoming key efficiency limitations of conventional processes. The research demonstrates strong potential for process intensification and more efficient CO₂ utilisation, contributing to the development of sustainable pathways for producing green chemicals and fuels, which are core objectives of the ILIMITED project.
