Meet ILIMITED and Sister Projects at TBMCE 2026
|
| |
Dear reader,
ILIMITED is a Horizon Europe project aiming to transform the way CO₂ is converted into methanol, a key building block for sustainable fuels and chemicals. The project is developing an innovative and economically viable process designed for small, decentralised applications, such as wastewater treatment plants and local energy systems.
However, ILIMITED is just one piece in a wider mosaic of projects across the European research landscape working together to accelerate the clean energy transition.
As collaboration is key to accelerating innovative solutions, we invite you to meet ILIMITED, PeCATHS and NOVETROL at the upcoming Technologies and Business Models for Circular Economy (TBMCE 2026) conference, taking place on 9–11 September 2026 in Portorož, Slovenia.
The projects will co-host a joint session “From Research to Application: Cross-Sector Energy Technologies for the Climate Transition” on 9 September, 16:30 - 18:00. | Agenda
The session will explore how emerging energy technologies can move beyond research and deliver real-world impact, supporting Europe's transition to a climate-neutral, resource-efficient, and circular economy. Participants will also gain insight into the role of collaborative projects in bridging research, industry uptake, and policy objectives.
The session will additionally feature the Slovenian TRL 3–6 programme CarbNETs: CO₂ Capture, Thermal Energy Management, and Electrification Using Net-zero Industrial Technologies for Decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries. | Join us in Portorož!

PRESENTING ILIMITED RESEARCH ON THE GLOBAL STAGE
|
| |
|
ILIMITED partners have actively shared project results and expertise at leading international events, including ISCRE29, AMT 2026, WSERNRE 2026, ICCCEB&H 2026, ECTP 2026, EUCHEMSIL 2026 and IMIL 2026. These presentations and discussions have helped raise awareness of the project's objectives, technological developments, and expected impact among researchers, industry representatives, and other stakeholders.

YOUR VIEW ON THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGY: Social Acceptance Survey
|
| |
Developing sustainable energy solutions requires understanding the perspectives of the people they are designed to serve. To support this, ILIMITED has launched a social acceptance survey to gather insights from stakeholders and the wider public on future energy technologies, their benefits, and their role in society. | Video
Help shape the conversation around future energy technologies—take part in the survey and share your perspective!
Best regards, ILIMITED project team
